You’ll Be Able To Put Music On Videos And Photos On Instagram Soon
- Instagram is experimenting with new features to improve the user experience.
- Users will soon be able to add music to their photos and videos on Instagram.
- The feature will be tested in two countries: India and the United States.
Instagram is adding the ability to add music to feed posts, similar to how users can add music to Instagram Stories and Reels, which is owned by Meta. Users will be able to have a song or music played alongside the photo or video they have published on their feed, which is presently being tested. It is unclear when this service will be available to end customers, but India is one of the first nations where it will be tested.
Users can add music to their Instagram posts while they’re still making them. When a user touches on a song, they are directed to an audio page where they can see all of the feed posts that include that music. The tool is being tested with a limited percentage of Instagram’s global audience, according to a press release, and is currently active for some users in India, Brazil, and Turkey. Instagram stated that it will be expanded based on community comments and learning.
When creating a new post, the new feature will include a new “Add Music” option. By clicking this, users will be taken to Instagram’s Music interface, where they can search for a song to include in their post. You can also choose a song from the “Trending” and “For You” areas. Once a song has been chosen, users can crop the time and length to meet their needs. Users can then proceed to upload their material on the platform.
Instagram is also shutting down Threads, the image-centric messaging service that it introduced in 2019. Threads allowed users to share their photographs and films with their peers in a visual format.
